“The biggest thing for me is that I get to work where I grew up. I am one of 10 kids, and I love that I get to do what I love and work in my hometown. I was born and raised in South Jersey so I’m doing a job that I love and didn’t have to move far away for it. I didn’t know if I would get to have a career here.”

“I love South Jersey because we have all the little old towns. I love to go to Haddonfield and Collingswood and walk around, or head to Mullica Hill for antiques. We have so many great places. For me, it’s kind of the small-town feel, but you have everything there.”

“When I’m not working, I’m with my three kids. It’s all about family for me. When I get home, that’s what I am doing. I do like to play the piano. I stopped when I had kids, but now that they’ve gotten a little bigger I started sneaking in the piano room when I have time. And I am caretaker for my mother who has Alzheimer’s, so it’s all about family for me.”

JACQUELINE LONDON

“The most rewarding part about being a newscaster is being able to connect with the viewers I am able to meet through stories, community events or just on the street. Having a chance to chat with the people who watch NBC 10 and hear what matters most to them is always a treat. I cherish every opportunity.”

“I love to unwind by shopping in little boutiques or attempting to cook a delicious dish. Lately, I’ve enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen, and treating my coworkers to some baked goodies. It’s a great stress reliever and really enjoyable if the treats turn out well.”

“I think downtown Haddonfield is absolutely charming. I love how quaint it is with the shops and restaurants. It immediately puts you in the holiday spirit this time of year with the tree-lined streets and beautiful white lights.”

Fox 29

“When I’m not working, I’m doing other things like trying to save animals. I do a lot of that type of work with rescues and shelters, lobbying in Harrisburg trying to get them to pass common sense bills to protect animals. I’m all about helping any group that needs a little extra love and attention, that’s what I’m all in on.”

“I love to hike, I like to go out and explore the outdoors. I’ve been hiking in the Pine Barrens, but did not see the Jersey Devil. It’s fabulous over there. I’m fairly new to the area, so when I heard Pine Barrens, I thought maybe some scraggly spruce trees, but it’s gorgeous. It’s lush and green and fantastic. I fell in love with it.”

JESSICA DEAN
CBS 3

“I love telling people stories that matter. The beauty of our job is that we get to step inside someone else’s life for a minute and share it with our viewers. It’s a responsibility and an honor to talk to people every night and for them to rely on us to tell them what’s going on.”

“I’m from Arkansas originally, but have come to love the Shore like everyone else. My husband and I’ve been to Stone Harbor, we’ve done Cape May; those are great ones. We got to stop by some farm stands in South Jersey this summer and get some great corn and tomatoes. There’s something really great about that. We’ve also been in Haddonfield some, Cherry Hill. I try to get over to South Jersey as much as possible; it’s nice to have it as a next door neighbor.”

“At night I love to come home and take a minute to come down so I read a lot and think about something else besides the news for the day. On the weekends, I love to be outside.”
